The Losers

are members of a US special forces unit. While on a mission, they were attacked by Max (Jason Patric), one of their most dangerous enemies, leaving everyone with the thought that they were dead after the assault. Since they were all able to survive safely, and with the help of Aisha (Zoe Saldana):

they would take profit of the fact that they were estimated dead to furtively plan a payback attack against Max and to stop him from realizing his destructive plans.
