This movie was released on June 12, 1981. It was directed by Desmond Davis, produced by Ray Harryhausen and Charles H. Schneer, and written by Beverly Cross. It was the 11th highest grossing movie of the year 1981, grossing a total of $41 millions on a budget of $16 millions. In the same year of its release, a novelization of it was published by Alan Dean Foster. A remake of this movie directed by Louis Leterrier is set to be released on April 2nd, 2010. The characters of the 1981 movie were practically the same as the ones in the 2010 version of the movie. Sam Worthington replaced Harry Hamlin in the role of Perseus, Alexa Davalos replaced Judi Bowker as Andromeda, Liam Neeson replaced Laurence Olivier as Zeus, Danny Huston replaced Jack Gwillim as Poseidon, et caetera.
The movie is based on the story of Perseus, one of the most famous heroes of Greek mythology. Perseus' biggest exploits include killing a moster called Medusa, and rescuing Andromeda from a sea monster called the Kraken.
Medusa is a "gorgon", which means "female monster". Her character is played by Natalia Vodianova in the 2010 remake. Medusa has the special ability to turn anyone into a statue when they look into her eyes.
The Kraken is a gigantic, an enormous monster coming from the seas. At a point of the story, Andromeda was held prisoner, and Perseus had to defeat the Kraken in order to get past him and release Andromeda who would later become his wife.
Crispin Glover As Ilosovic Stayne AKA The Knave Of Hearts
Ilosovic Stayne, also known as the Knave of Hearts, is played by Crispin Hellion Glover in Tim Burton's Alice in wonderland. Crispin Glover is an American actor, director, musician and author. He is mostly known for playing eccentric characters in movies, such as George McFly in back to the future, Willard Stiles in Willard and the "creepy thin man" in Charlie's angels. Glover also has his own production company named Volcanic Eruptions, which he started in the early 2000s.
The Knave of Hearts is the leader of the army of the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), main villain of the Alice in Wonderland movie. He is extremely tall, with a height of seven feet and six inches, or 2.92 meters. He has a scarred face, and his left eye is covered by heart-shaped patch. The Knave of Hearts is one very pretentious and arrogant man. Although, he always remains respectful and servile in the presence of the Red Queen. However, he is the only one who has the ability to make the queen change her mind when she is making her evil decisions.
Is Edward "Teddy" Daniels Crazy Or Sane In Shutter Island?
This is a movie that really makes you think... a LOT!! There is proof that both theories are possible...
If we just believe what we see, we might just think that Edward Daniels was insane, and that he was hallucinating the whole time, which would basically mean that the whole movie was an illusion. BUT, if we dig deeper in our thoughts, if we think about the situation for a minute, we might see things otherwise. Personally I think Teddy was sane. First of all, in the beginning of the movie, when he was on the boat heading to the island, it wouldn't make much sense that they let a crazy person go on and off the island like that.
Also, when he met the real Rachel Solando in the cave, she told him that they were going to give him brain surgeries, and in the end of the movie, the doctors were holding surgery-like tools in their hands when they took Teddy with them to the lighthouse.
Also, this lighthouse which was suspected to be the place were the lobotomizations took place was empty when Teddy went there before they tried to convince him that he was insane and they assured him that there were no such things as brain surgeries going on in there, so how come that's where they took him in the very end of the movie, with their tools in their hands?
Even the patients were apparently forced to play along with the doctors who were trying to convince Teddy that he was crazy, because when they were interviewing the patient who axed her husband, she had to make Chuck go away so that she could write a quick warning in Teddy's notebook: "RUN". This means that she was aware of what was happening and she knew that Chuck was one of the doctors.
Kick-Ass Movie
This movie is directed by Matthew Vaughn and produced by Brad Pitt. It will be released in April 16th, 2010 in the USA and in April 2nd, 2010 in the UK. It is based on the comic book Kick-Ass written by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.
Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) is a normal high school boy who lives alone with his father and he is a big fan of comic books. One day, Dave decides to make all his comic book fantasies become reality and become a real superhero, although he doesn't have any superpowers or fighting experience of any kind. He nicknames himself Kick-Ass. However, the fact that he doesn't have any powers doesn't stop him from reaching his goal. He even gets his own "villains", just like a regular superhero.
Also, Kick-Ass becomes the inspiration of other teenagers who start to have the same dream of becoming superheroes, such as Chris D'Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) who becomes a superhero and calls himself Red Mist.
Kick-Ass also meets an 11-year-old girl-superhero named Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) whose real name is Mindy Macready. Hit-Girl can manipulate swords well, and she is the sidekick of her own father Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) whose real name is Damon Macready.
Hit-Girl and Big Daddy are working together with the main purpose of stopping a powerful drug baron named Franck D'Amico (Mark Strong).
Clash Of The Titans
This movie is a remake of another movie with the same title released in 1981. It is directed by Louis Leterrier, son of the french director François Leterrier. Louis Leterrier also directed the incredible hulk (2008), unleashed (2005), and transporter 2 (2005). Clash of the Titans was supposed to be released on March 26, 2010, but the release date was changed to April 2nd, 2010, because the movie was going to be converted into 3D. The screenplay is set up by Travis Beacham, Phil Hay, and Matt Manfredi.
Perseus (Sam Worthington from Avatar) is a demigod, son of Zeus (Liam Neeson) the king of the gods raised to manhood by men. Perseus is one the most known names in Greek mythology. He is even mentioned in many famous novels such as Hermann Melville's Moby Dick and movies such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which was released on february 2010. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Percy's mother says that she named her son after the only classical hero whose story doesn't end in tragedy, referring to Perseus. In Moby Dick, Perseus is referred to as the first whaleman, because he killed Ceto the sea monster to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos; scene shown in the movie).
In this thrilling adventure/fantasy movie, Perseus engages himself in a battle against Hades (Ralph Fiennes), god of the underworld. He enters the underworlds with a group of fearless warriors, battling demons and beasts such as Medusa (Natalia Vodianova), with the main purpose of stopping Hades from stealing power from Zeus and literally turning the Earth into a living hell. Here is the trailer below:
Other characters appearing in this movie include Lo played by Gemma Arterton, Eusabios played by Nicholas Hoult, Poseidon played by Danny Huston, Athena played by Isabella Miko, and many more.

WARNING!!!!!!!! Spoilers!!!
The movie, which was released in January 19th, 2010, is directed by Martin Scorsese. The screenplay is by Laeta Kalogridis, and is based on a novel by Dennis Lehane. The story takes place in 1954.
Edwards "Teddy" Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), two US marshalls, are needed on Shutter Island for an investigation. More specifically, the US marshalls are needed on the Ashecliffe hospital of Shutter Island which is built to hold criminally insane people. Teddy and Chuck are sent to Shutter Island, which is located off the coast of Massachusetts, to resolve the mystery of the disappearance of a patient named Rachel Solando (Emily Mortimer) who was sent to Ashecliffe Hospital for drowning her three children. When they arrive there, the first assumption concerning the missing patient is that she escaped. When they notice that she left her shoes behind, they start to think that she won't be able to survive alone in the wild, especially with the savage storm that is menacing the island. Teddy Daniels and his partner start investigating all around the island searching for clues that could help them solve the mystery of Rachel Solando. Along their researches Teddy talks to his partner about Andrew Landers, the man who started the fire that killed his wife. He believes Andrew was a patient on Shutter Island, and is still there. Also, Teddy keeps on mentioning that he suspects that the responsibles of the island are brainwashing the patients to make them act as they desire. Surprisingly, one day, Teddy is told that Rachel Solando is found. When he sees her, there is no mark on her, another big surprise for our US marshall. Also, from the moment Teddy steps on the island, he starts feeling frequent headaches and having dreams and hallucinations about his deceased wife and a a dead little girl who keeps on telling him that he could've saved her. While on the island, Teddy finds a fortress with many imprisoned patients. Among those prisoners, he finds one that he knew before his imprisonment, George Noyce, and they start talking. After a long chat, Noyce convinces Teddy that the leaders of Shutter Island are actually brain-washers. When Teddy gets out, he doesn't trust anyone anymore, even his partner Chuck, who he actually only met while on the boat to Shutter Island. After convincing his partner to leave him alone, Teddy marches towards a lighthouse he never visited before, suspecting the brainwashing might be done there. While trying to get there, Teddy ends up in the same place where he left his partner, but Chuck isn't there anymore. He sees Chuck's cigarette on the ground, and starts to think that Chuck fell down the cliff after looking ans seeing something with the same shape as Chuck's clothing. After climbing down and noticing that he didn't really see Chuck's body, he notices a light coming from a hole on the mountain. When he gets inside this hole, he sees a woman, the real Rachel Solando. She explains to him that the woman he saw in the building is an imposter and that the leaders of Shutter Island really are brain-washers. Rachel makes him notice that the pills that they gave him for his headache, the cigarettes that they offered him to smoke, even the food that they gave him to eat, were part of the brainwashing process. She tells him that she was a nurse inside Ashecliffe Hospital before becoming a patient and they set her up by making everyone think she was crazy because she started to suspect the corrupted acts of the leaders of the island. Indeed, Teddy Daniels is suspecting the Shutter Island staff of brainwashing, and they noticed. That is why they want to do to him the same thing they did to Rachel. Because Rachel doesn't want her hiding spot to be discovered, she makes Teddy Daniels leave. When Teddy gets outside, they start to make him think he's crazy. When he asks for his partner Chuck, they answer that he never had a partner. After noticing that, Teddy is determined to go to the lighthouse. But when he gets in the lighthouse, he doesn't find any weird machinery or anything like that. He only sees Dr. John Cawley (Ben Kingsley), the head psychiatrist, sitting. There, Dr. Cawley starts to tell him that they were giving him medicines for a long time. Then he tells Teddy that he truly isn't Edward Daniels, but Andrew Landers, the man he knew as the killer of his wife. Dr. Cawley shows him that he made up a character named Edward Daniels so that he could be a hero, and shows him that Edward Daniels is actually an anagram of Andrew Laeddis. Dr. Cawley tells him about the true story of his life and how his wife really died (he shot her). There is a massive confusion inside the US marshalls head. But he regains his confidence and refuses to believe what he's being told. After that Dr. Cawley tells John that his partner Chuck was in reality his personal psychiatristWhen he sees his gun on a table, he grabs it, but when he tries to shoot a bullet, nothing happens: he is holding a toy gun. Thinking that his US marshall gun was actually a toy gun, he doesn't know what to think anymore, and faints. When he wakes up, he is a patient on Ashecliffe Hospital. When he gets out on the yard, they notice that he still doesn't truly believe that he is Andrew Laeddis, so they take him to the lighthouse......
